As Legal Geek returns to London for its seventh year, Luminance is excited to announce that it will be joined by Magic Circle law firm, Slaughter and May, for what promises to be an insightful and thought-provoking fireside chat about how next-generation technology is driving the legal profession into the next decade and beyond.
This year, Legal Geek, the highly anticipated legal innovation conference, will play host to over 2,000 legal practitioners and innovation experts for a jam-packed two days of thought leadership sessions, skill-based workshops, Q&As, and networking. Shedding a spotlight on the technologies and strategies shaping the future of the legal profession, Luminance’s Head of Legal, Harry Borovick, will be taking to the Disco Stage at 11:20am this Thursday 29th September with Jezah Khamisa, Knowledge & Innovation Manager at Slaughter and May.
As an early adopter of AI and one of Luminance’s longest-standing customers, Jezah will be discussing how Luminance’s world-leading technology is being applied to the spectrum of legal document review at the top-tier firm, from expediting M&A due diligence exercises to assisting with pro bono work. Those attending Legal Geek can hear first-hand how Slaughter and May’s legal teams are leveraging Luminance’s AI to gain a rapid and comprehensive understanding of their data, reducing the time spent on large-scale document review during transactions and easing the burden on lawyers at the firm.
Jezah will also be sharing her perspective on how AI can be used to help drive cultural innovation within law firms, explaining why Slaughter & May are embedding legal technology into the training of their junior lawyers, as well as using it as a key tool for recruitment. Harry and Jezah will touch on the intrinsic link between legal practice and technology for achieving knowledge augmentation, and how this is feeding into Slaughter & May’s broader goal of cultivating a generation of lawyers that are advocates for the power of AI.
Ahead of Legal Geek, Jezah Khasima commented: “Luminance’s AI has significant potential for law firms looking to boost efficiency by providing enhanced insights at speed, saving time for more complex work, and ultimately, streamlining the delivery of legal services.”
Harry Borovick, Head of Legal at Luminance, added: “It is brilliant to see a world-leading firm such as Slaughter & May embedding legal technology into their practices, particularly in the training of their junior lawyers. Not only does this demonstrate the potential of AI for delivering enhanced output to clients, but also for improving the overall work/life balance of lawyers. I’m very much looking forward to our discussion at one of the legal industry’s flagship events.”
The Luminance team will also be in the Exhibition Hall throughout the day, showcasing its AI-powered legal process automation software. To schedule a meeting with a Luminance representative during the conference, email [email protected].
