Next week, Luminance is excited to be attending Legalweek 2022 as the flagship event returns to New York City from March 8th – 11th.
To kick off the week, Luminance’s CEO, Eleanor Weaver, will be joined by leading figures from global pharmaceutical company, IDEXX Laboratories, Global Top 100 law firm, Mayer Brown, and multinational insurer, Liberty Mutual, for a panel at this year’s conference. Luminance will also be at Booth 2011 throughout the week showcasing its next-generation technology that augments a vast range of tasks: from taking a first-pass review of any incoming contract to automatically flagging contractual anomalies; from highlighting areas of non-compliance to be remedied, to labelling clauses or applying advanced AI-driven ECA and TAR within eDiscovery matters.
The highly anticipated panel, which will take place in the Trianon Ballroom on Wednesday 9th March from 2-3pm, will bring together different perspectives from across the in-house and private practice community from a variety of verticals to discuss the growing role of AI in helping organizations to drive profitability, maintain compliance with a changing regulatory landscape and gain a competitive advantage in negotiations.
Against a backdrop of exploding data volumes, global regulation and efficiency pressures, those attending Legalweek can hear first-hand how AI assists lawyers in quickly responding to incoming claims and questions, ensuring their client or business is in the best possible negotiating position. Having expanded its US customer base by 80% in the last year alone, Luminance’s AI is now used by legal professionals across the spectrum of the law, from General Counsel and private practice attorneys to insurance professionals and even police officers, providing Legalweek attendees with a unique and wide-ranging perspective on innovation in the legal sector.
Ahead of next week’s conference, Legalweek panellists and Luminance customers commented:
Matthew Forsyth, VP and Deputy General Counsel at IDEXX Laboratories, Inc.: “With Luminance’s artificial intelligence we can see exactly where we need to focus our attention in negotiations, and operationally. AI is critical for any forward-thinking in-house counsel or legal operations team that wants to accelerate deal closure, make more informed decisions, and ensure compliance in a rapidly-changing regulatory landscape.”
Jackie O’Neill, Director of Project Management, Global Risk at Liberty Mutual: “Luminance means we can make the most out of our data. By understanding our previous decision- making, we can carry that behavior into the future to make better, quicker and more informed decisions. As well as driving efficiency into our everyday work, Luminance’s language and workflow capabilities have been transformational, helping us to collaborate with colleagues across the United States and Latin America.”
Jordan Galvin, Global Legal Innovation Supervisor at Mayer Brown: “Artificial intelligence like Luminance is helping us to dramatically cut the time spent on document review: now, we are able to find out key information much earlier on in a review. Not only does this mean we can provide feedback to our clients much faster, but has the added benefit that we can spend longer on the valuable work of analysis and strategic advice that we pride ourselves on.”
